We give UCC Visitors’ Centre a new visual identity

More than 15 years ago we helped create the Visitors’ Centre in UCC.

Situated in the historical Stone Corridor on the main Quad, it has become the hub not only for visitors to the campus, but for an entire college community.

This project originally included not only the branding of the centre, but also the design of the space and the overall fit out of the scheme. After so many years, it is now time for a refresh.

We began by working closely with them to establish a strategic brief for the identity work. This involved an in depth investigation of not only their activities but also the wide ranging audiences they have and the complex variety of messages they deliver.

This formed the basis of the creative process, which resulted in the creation of not just a visual identity, but the development of a narrative style which encapsulates the core of what the Visitors’ Centre is all about…. Storytelling.

Having created the identity and applying it through a series of material including literature and digital media, the final stage of the process was to bring the new design language into the space itself. Using a palette of eco friendly materials and a fresh and vibrant style, the space was transformed into a contemporary backdrop for many new stories to come.
